Jewellery calculator

Your gold does not cost what it cost last week.

A jewellery listing priced from a number you typed in March is a listing you are selling at a loss. DSPX prices the piece the way your workshop actually costs it — grams × fineness × today’s spot — then works forward through freight, customs and the full Etsy fee stack to a sale price that holds the margin you asked for. Every length, every ring size, each with its own weight.

Real output at a $4,077.60/oz spot. You set the target margin; the price is solved backwards from it through customs and the full Etsy fee stack — it is never a blanket markup on cost.

What you get

Fineness, not fantasy

14K is 585/1000 pure — so a 2.35g piece carries 1.375g of gold, not 2.35g. DSPX prices the alloy at its real fineness for 24K down to 9K, 925 sterling and platinum.

Live spot, saved with the draft

The gold and silver spot rate is fetched live, but pinned to the draft the moment you price against it. Nothing reprices behind your back — you refresh when you decide to.

Or your own rate

Buy below spot? Type the rate you actually pay and lock it. The calculator uses your number and stops auto-refreshing that draft.

A weight per variation

A 40cm chain and a 50cm chain are not the same weight, so they are not the same price. Give each option its grams and DSPX publishes a real Etsy variation set, each priced on its own metal.

Margin solved backwards

You set the net margin you want to keep. The price is solved back through customs reserve, buyer shipping and Etsy’s transaction, payment and listing fees — never a blanket ×3 on cost.

Feeds the same books

The computed cost lands in the normal cost-and-margin breakdown, so a gold piece reconciles against Etsy’s order earnings exactly like every other product in the shop.

How it works

1

Switch on the calculator

It appears by itself on jewellery drafts. Pick the metal and the karat — 14K is the default because it is what sells.

2

Enter the weights

One weight for a single piece, or one per length or ring size. The live spot fills itself in; override it if you buy at your own rate.

3

Set the margin and publish

Type the net margin you want to keep. Every variation gets its price, the breakdown shows the profit to the cent, and the listing goes to Etsy as a draft you approve.

See it working in your own shop.
